We need your help in order to continue to meet the commitment we have made to St. Matthew’s.

Invest in a child’s future — and a troubled nation’s. We gratefully accept donations as well as educational supplies that fit St. Matthew’s needs. Please contact us with any questions.

School Needs

Annual expenses, recurring
  • $60   Child’s uniform, books, school supplie for 1 year
  • $200 One pupil, one year –includes share of  teacher’s salary.
  • $250 Teacher training for 1 teacher during summer break.
  • $300  One graduating 6th-grader supported through 7th grade (we expect 13 such graduates in 2016)
  • $1000 Oil, spices, cooking fuel for school lunch program (rice & beans supplied from other sources)
  • $1500 Salary for a teacher for one year.
  • $3,200 One class for one year.

We welcome donations in-kind of new pencils, ballpoint pens, and spiral-bound ruled notebooks. Sets of 60 are particularly welcome. Grace travelers will take these to Haiti when they visit.

We also welcome monetary contributions so that items can be purchased in Haiti to support the local economy.

Financial contributions to support Saint Matthew’s School are tax-deductible. Make your check payable to Grace Church, Amherst, and note “Haiti School” on the memo line.
